Riverside Community College
Riverside Community College manages three campuses in the cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley, and Norco, all conveniently located at aprox 50 miles from Victorville.
The original accredited school is The Riverside City campus, the other two campuses are expected to become in 2010 independent schools, fully accredited. For those interested in achieving an associate’s degree and certificate programs in the liberal arts, science, performing arts and nursing, you may join the Riverside City campus. Business technologies, health sciences, human and public services are the focus of the instruction provided by the Moreno Valley campus. Architecture, engineering, electronics, computer networking, logistics and manufacturing technology can be learned at the specialized Norco campus.
Mt. San Antonio College
One of California’s largest community colleges, Mt. San Antonio College is located in Walnut, at approximately 41 miles southwest of Victorville. The rich educational offer contains over 200 associate’s degree and certificate programs, organized in divisions such as business, art, learning resources, technology and health, community and non-credit education, humanities and social sciences, natural sciences and physical education.
The College’s mission is to develop professional and technical careers and to help students to transfer to 4-year institutions. Some of the college’s curriculum can be studied online or as hybrid classes.
Pasadena City College
Travel approximately 50 miles southwest of Victorville and you’ll find Pasadena City College, located in downtown Pasadena. Pasadena City College’s students can transfer to universities after graduating one of the 60 academic associate’s college degrees designed for them or can join one of the 76 career and technical programs. There are also 25 evening and week-end programs, some of them having also online classes. The ‘Fast Track’ program from Pasadena City College accelerate the transfer to 4-year institutions of the local high school students, by allowing them to attend college courses while they are finishing high school.
